WHAT'S NEW?

I have a track on the third installment of Sneakmove's limited-edition Minicomp 7inch series. Bomarr (who joins us on a track on the upcoming Bran Flakes CD) curated the compilation which features 10 artists at one minute a pop. Sneakmove is now taking orders. Featured on the 7" with Shayne Keator, Back Ted N-Ted, Principles of Geometry, Coppé, Alien Mermaid, Broken Spindles, Tunng, Copy, Lord Grunge, and Superargo. The release is also available for free (for those of you without funds or a record player) via RCRD LBL.

The Bran Flakes have signed on with Illegal Art who will be releasing our next album, "I HAVE HANDS" (February 2009). A number of videos will be online around the time the album hits, and created by our very good friends... Bomarr (who also appears on a song on the album), Stuart Christensen from DeepFried Content, Clayton Counts, Mark Cuadrado from Slowcore Pictures, Susan DeLint, Devi (Tampon Bunny), Lili Chin and Eddie Muerte from FWAK! Animation, Eric Kilkenny (Martinibomb), Sukho Lee, The Lounge King and Atif Siddiqi.

Back on the WFMU blog (every Thursday) hosting a weekly series, "The Mix Machine" that focuses on classic hip hop, freestyle, disco and dance mixes. Check out a write-up of the posts here that provides great information on some of the Roadium tapes featured.

The Raymond Scott Archives have given The Bran Flakes free reign to plunder the catalog for a 2009 centennial remix album. More news on this as-yet untitled project as it develops.

The Bran Flakes have joined the blog de-evolution revolution. Check us out for regular updates and subscribe to the feed in your reader, friendly reader.
